Here are some suggestions of what to see in Central Park on a first visit to New York. The tour begins in the middle of the park, at the height of the Upper West Side. You can take the subway lines B or C coming down at 81 Street station.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Going south we go through the following points first:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Belvedere Castle (beautiful castle with incredible views)<br \/>\nLoeb Boathouse (Restaurant and boat rental)<br \/>\nAlice in Wonderland (Statue)<br \/>\nHans Christian Andersen (Statue)<br \/>\nThen, going to the center of the park, we have these other well-known attractions because they are protagonists of several series and films:<\/p>\n<p>Bethesda Fountain<br \/>\nBethesda Terrace<br \/>\nBow Bridge (The best-known bridge in Central Park)<br \/>\nStrawberry Fields (Moisaco in homage to John Lennon)<br \/>\nCherry Hill Fountain<br \/>\nThe Mall and Literature Walk<br \/>\nAlready reaching almost its southern limit we find a couple of attractions ideal for those who go with children:<\/p>\n<p>Central Park Zoo<br \/>\nWollman Rink (Ice Skating Rink)<\/p>\n<p>The park has a lot of trails and streets where you can start walking and getting lost but then find your way again, and do not worry because every corner is just amazing.<\/p>\n<p>You have to dedicate at least half a day to do this tour, the ideal time is to start early to take advantage of the daylight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Central Park is the pulsating green heart of Manhattan, with almost 3.5 km in length, its a must see if you are visiting New York City.
