The yearly National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC 2017 returns and usually very welcomed after harsh winters. The festival starts March 15th through April 16th, 2017.
The celebration of Spring and the cherry blossom trees signify the enduring friendship between the people of the United States and Japan. There are daily events featuring diverse and creative programming that promote traditional and contemporary arts and culture, natural beauty, and community spirit.
Most of the events are primarily free and open to the public! It’s an amazing time to visit DC and not to be missed!
