The annual cherry blossom festival at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden known as Sakura Matsuri, starts Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30, 2017 | 10 a.m.–6 p.m. The festival offers over 60 events and performances that celebrate traditional and contemporary Japanese culture. The festival also marks the end of “hanami”, the Japanese cultural tradition of enjoying each moment of the cherry blossom season.
