New York has several public libraries throughout the city. The best known is the NY Public Library which is located in the Midtown neighborhood at 42nd and Fifth Avenue. A building that dazzles in architecture both outside and inside. It has 3 floors that are unmissable, its rooms distills perfection and amazing views through its large windows that will leave you in awe. Then we have the Morgan Library that also has a Museum. This is located in Midtown at 37th Street and Madison Avenue. Here you have to pay an admission to enter but have a free day:

Another library that is beautiful on the outside is the Jefferson Market Library. It is located in the Greenwich Village neighborhood on Sixth Avenue and 10th Street. Admission is free.
If you idea is to buy books, you can not miss visiting the Strand Bookstore, one of the best bookstores in New York where you can find anything imaginable. It is located in the Union Square neighborhood on 12th Street and Broadway Avenue.
Another book store option is the Barnes & Noble chain, which has several branches. In addition to books you can find albums, movies, games, magazines, souvenirs and much more!
