The Statue of Liberty is one of the most famous attractions in New York City along with the Empire State Building. Therefore, visiting it is a must to include in your trip. Depending on your budget and time of stay, we have several options to see it.
OFFICIAL FERRY
The first option we have is the official page to visit the Statue that includes the ferry that takes us to the Island of the Statue and Ellis Island where the Museum of Immigrants is.
Here we have 3 ticket options:
Ferry round trip to both islands.
Round trip ferry to both islands plus pedestal climb.
Ferry round trip to both islands plus climb to the crown.
The first two options have a cost of USD $18.50 for adults and USD $9 for children between 4 and 12 years.
The third option has a cost of US $ 21.50 for adults and US $ 12 for children. It is recommended to take out these tickets with an anticipation of more than 3 months.
If they have an attraction pass, keep in mind that they can only access the first option.
The time it takes to travel the two islands plus the transfers takes around 3 hours.
CIRCLE LINE SIGHTSEEING CRUISE
This ferry does not stop at the Island of the Statue but passes very close, with two different tours, one morning and one night with a cost of $31 per adult.
It also has another tour that runs throughout the island of Manhattan and passes near the Statue with a cost of usd $43 per adult.
The duration of the tours are from 1 to 2 and a half hours.
FREE FERRY TO STATEN ISLAND
Finally we have the free option and that less time takes us, 25 minutes each section.
The Statue does not look very close, but it is a good option for those who do not have a comfortable budget but want to see it and take pictures with a good zoom.
