The annual Museum Mile Festival returns for free admission to some of the world’s finest art collections during extended evening hours on June 13, from 6pm to 9pm.
This 23-block festival stretches down Fifth Avenue and the participating institutions include—El Museo del Barrio, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cooper Hewitt, the Jewish Museum, Neue Galerie and the Museum of the City of New York.
But the festival is not only inside, there are plenty of outdoor festivities including face painting, chalk drawing, live music and other block-party events. The festival kicks off at 6pm, rain or shine!
