New York is a city that has several famous department stores for all tastes, from discounted name brand stores to upscale stores. NYC has it all.
There are those many which are easy to get to, some that are offers overflowing with people during holidays and those that are not for all pockets!
Even if you can’t buy anything in the high end stores, it does not mean you can go for a walk and do some window shopping, see the items they sell inside etc, since many of them deserve a visit.

CENTURY21
This store is one of the best known in the city, its ideally located in the World Trade Center area on Cortland Street. It has 6 floors full of products of important brands at super discounted prices. If you like to dig and find good deals, this is your place!
MACYS
Another icon of New York, this store that is located in Herald Square has 9 floors and is huge! One gets lost in this building, because of its enormity it has several gastronomic places to rest while one buys. Ideal to visit it at the time of offers, late season and for Black Friday.
BLOOMINGDALES
Famous for being the place where Rachel worked in the Friends series. Its first and historic location is on 3rd Avenue and 59th Street. The prices are high, but its cosmetic section is very good and with prices similar to those that can be found in any store.
SAKS FIFTH AVENUE
One of the most beautiful shops in New York and quite pricey, although an outlet opened recently on 57th Street between Park and Lexington Avenue. I recommend that you visit during the Christmas season and see its stained glass windows in addition to its light show that usually project on its façade on Fifth Avenue.
BERGDORF GOODMAN
Beautiful store on Fifth Avenue, steps from Central Park. High end is the name of the game here but definitely worth a visit. If you want to have tea overlooking Central Park do not hesitate to do here in luxury and delicious!
